My 75 year old Grandma just loves word search puzzles. She calls them her "brain exercises". However she has a little difficulty seeing all those little letters as she has gotten older. I bought her The Everything Large-Print Bible Word Search Book and in return she mailed me a $50 check and told me to buy her every large print word search "the Amazon" had. I would say it's a smash hit for her! I think if you're looking for a gift from a grandmother or grandfather you can't go wrong with one of these books. They're easy to read and provide enough challenge that they'll enjoy doing them.

We bought this for my husband's mother who has Alzheimer's. She has only a few beloved games she likes and remembers how to play. She has been doing word searches recently. Although she may not know what the words mean, she likes to find and match them! Hopefully, any mind strengthening she can do will help slow down the Alzheimer's progression! She loves the Bible version since much of that is still familiar to her.

I am going broke behind this book! lol... I bought the first of these books for my mother-in-law who has to sit in the lobby for hours while my father-in-law gets his dialysis treatment. She loves it... a great way to occupy her time. My aunt saw the book, so I had to buy one for her. Someone saw her book, and I had to buy 2 more. My last order was $45 of these Bible Word Search books. lol... To the author, keep new volumes coming. As long as the little old ladies request them, I will keep buying them.

I purchased this for my grandmother while she was in the hospital and she absolutely loves it. In the back are Bible verses which is a fun addition to the word search. Great price for a product that will be used and enjoyed for a while!

I purchased this for my 80 year old grandmother. She is happy with it so far. My only concern was that it drew from multiple bibles rather than picking just one. However, it was well written and easy to read.

Great book! I purchased for a Christmas gift and I am very pleased. There are different puzzles with different themes there are scriptures to match those themes. I'm very pleased with the font size as well.

Kind of cumbersome as the book is BIG, but otherwise a great source and fun as well as beneficial. Great way to be "In the Word and learn along the way with exercising the brain.

I gave this book five stars because it's just what it should be. Unfortunately it was too difficult for my memory impaired relative. She just couldn't remember what she was supposed to do. :( Not the fault of the compilers -- next time I'll try something easier.

Karl's New Beak by Lela Margo is a book I requested from NetGalley and the review is voluntary. This book is for ages 6-8 but I think kids even older would enjoy this too.This book explains how Karl has lost half his bottom beak and all the many ways the people that work with him tried helping him by making acrylic fake beaks for him. None of them worked. Then the 3D printers and an old skeleton, that was similar to Karl's, assisted the making of a new beak for him. The book goes the the process and the problems they had. There are lots of pictures and why it was so important for Karl to get it fixed. Lots of questions are answered in here. Great informative book. Step by step with good up close photos!

I highly recommend this book to every U.S. Citizen. Meticulously researched, highly informative, providing detailed account of the beginnings of Islam and its actual mission of world conquest.

A well written and excellent account of the history and present state of the Middle East' s centuries long conflicts. The author relates the many foreign policy initiatives by the US and other Western countries and why they have failed. You will likely learn some new vocabulary words, but most importantly the foundations of genuine peace.

This is one of the best, most relative and easiest to understand books I have ever had the pleasure of reading. I highly recommend to anyone wondering why the world is in such an uproar and terror is front and center.

It also delves into the genetic issue of Dwarfism.)5 Livestock Guardians6 Facilities and Fences (goes over what kind of housing your livestock will need)7 Feeding ( I did not realize before I picked up this book that miniature goats, sheep, and the rest of them have different food needs than their full-sized cousins (other than the obvious difference in porportion). But Ms. Weaver explains the different needs that Minis have)8 Health (a very, very basic primer on healthcare, things you must know, such as worming and taking care of wounds)9 Identification (about permanent/temporary tagging)10 Transportation (helps you get your stock from point A to B with minimal stress and danger to all concerned)11 Breeding (basically, how to get baby minis and a little on how to care for baby)12 Got Milk? (fairly self-evident, but a start on dairying your minis...but you'll need more than this book if you really want to get started in that)13 The Business End (How to market your minis so they at least pay their way)Section Two covers each of the livestock included (Mini Cattle, Horses, Donkeys, Mules, Goats, Llamas, and Sheep). This includes a section of photographs (though all the pictures are together, not spread out through the book)I found most of the information to be reliable and fair. Sue Weaver loves most animals (especially donkeys) and you can tell when reading her work.There is one little issue, though I do not hold this againist Ms. Weaver, as she is not the photographer, is that there is a photo of a goat in this book that is also in Storey's Guide to Livestock Breeds, and which the books each classify differently. I don't know how this came about, but since it is not the author's fault, one can hardly hold her accountable.All in all, I suggest this book if you are new to the miniature world. Some of the information is something that someone with a little experience wouldn't need, but it is great for beginners,and even the experienced can learn something useful!

For Me the book was a waste of time and money. For others it could be just what they wanted. The book was very general covering many farm animals but gives no more information that a basic website would about an animal. Was expecting something more specialized about miniatures.Would suggest some books like raising beef cattle, dairy cattle, meat goats etc. which are Storey's Guide to. These will give more specifics.General information it's Okay.

I am a huge Sue Weaver fan. She is a knowledgeable and articulate writer. She has a great sense of humor and one that does not overwhelm the text. I've read all of her books. I highly recommend each and every one. Up until now, the Donkey book was my favorite. I picked up Raising Miniature Livestock because I can't decide what kind of animals to raise and minis have a lot going for them! Lo and behold, there are so many bits of wisdom here for raising all types of livestock--large and small--everyone will benefit from this book. Raising Minis is a real treasure. Thanks, Sue, for another enjoyable and immensely helpful guide. Keep up the great writing!

It wasa informative on a miniature subject with lots of specific information./ I knew a woman briefly who was secretary of the Miniature Llamas Association. This book tellswhat we might not want to hear if we are not alrady miniature owners... They really aren't cuddly and they really suffer from the Texas heat. Maybe we should stick with cuddly heat proof goats.

Storey's are always good sources for beginners.Now if I can just come up with the $1200 for a mini jersey heifer. My neighbor has offered her acre of pasture in exchange for milk. And have two customers looking for raw milk.Checking soon with our local AG Office for detailed info.

I have many books related to animals and animal care. This is my primary interest and recently I have acquired several miniature species. Their care and welfare as well as their behavior is different than standard size animals and this book is very helpful in that respect. I am referring back to it constantly as its an excellent reference book.
