As a professional special event florist who specializes in weddings, this is another book I keep in my consultation room for brides to browse and reference. I'm partial to design books that contain a lot of photos so this one earns high marks from me, but the drawbacks are it's size (small, which means the photos are also small) and that it's a paperback so it doesn't hold up to wear and repeat usage like a hardbound book. Most of the designs are current and contemporary, which is nice after seeing so many outdated wedding design books from the 80's and 90's still on bookstore shelves, but some of the designs lack "that certain something" that make the bouquets really stand out and personalized to the bride. As a designer I'm never super excited about anything cookie-cutter (see cover photo as an example) because it can easily become a crutch for clients who aren't confident making floral selections and also a crutch for florists who don't want to spend the quality time needed for a proper consultation. However, if used as an initial reference for size, shape, and to build designs from, the book will certainly provide that and a bit more. Based on what I've observed from brides browsing and using this book during consultations at my location, easy-to-please brides usually find a few styles in the book that they like, but fussier brides browse through the book quickly (rarely stopping on any one style) and move on to other books. It is a nice little book for the price though -- quality photography and an overall good value.

Great book for getting ideas...actually over 300 of them. Was looking at this for my wife for our wedding. Had a great selection of pictures and helped us with choosing the flowers we wanted to go with on our wedding day. If you are getting married its a great book to have.

I like that this book is compact in size, yet full of information such as: names of the flowers in the pictures that are a good size, how they were arranged, the meanings of the flowers used for each bouquet picture, along with which dress style(s) the bouquet can go with (awesome!). Four stars because I only wish there had been even more variety - to be fair, though, I'm having a really hard time finding flowers and bouquet styles that I like so this might be just right for someone else.

BE forewarned: This book is tiny, had old photos of old flowers, is utterly outdated and is of no use to any bride, let alone an artist or anyone else. Shame on anyone who gave this any kind of great reviews!!!! What a disservice to others!!!

I have bought several of the books on Amazon for ideas and inspiration for wedding bouquets. This one is by far my favorite so far. I enjoy just flipping through it for ideas and it usually ends up at my bedside just because I enjoy the pictures so much. A couple of the other books I ordered I wish I would have returned because this one has become my favorite.

It is full of Thiebaud's legendary humor and wisdom, a must for any student of painting in the 21st century. Daubert and Aschiem are former students of Professor Thiebaud and they know where to go with the questions to get a real sense of how the artist thinks and works. Must read, and re-read!

I wasn't sure what I was getting when I ordered this book. As an admirer of Thiebaud's artwork, I found his opinions, observations and comments on his art and art in general very interesting and thought provoking as an artist myself. There are a number of artists/artwork references made during the interview sessions made by both parties that I found myself going on the internet to see who or what was being tales about. And I guess that is where I was a little disappointed in this book, I wish it had been more self-contained with additional images of these works instead of my having to go and search for them on another source. At least the works presented in the book are in color and not B&W, which is always an awkward way of presenting a full color piece of art. If you are a fan of Mr. Thiebaud, you will enjoy this book regardless. If you are new to his work I'd suggest buying something with more reproductions of his art first before getting Episodes.

It's straight to the point and practical. Glad to have this on my shelf and will be a book I plan to reread it.Lots of information to draw from.

You will start by learning a bit about how the memory works and what it means to have a photographic memory.

Eidetic memory is a phenomenon in which avivid â€œafterimageâ€ of something remains in the mind for up to a fewminutes after the original image was seen. This phenomenon gives theperson extremely accurate recall abilities, but this recall is neverperfect. Eidetic memory exists in 2 to 15 percent of children and veryfew adults. There are existing claims that you can train yourself to havean eidetic memory, but these are false; an eidetic memory is a qualitythat you either have or do not have.
