I consider this book to be a Healers Bible. I have a Health and Wellness Information Center in Sosua Dominican Republic. I want to make Sosua a spa town where all forms of natural healing available. I am considering offering or giving everyone a copy of this remarkable book. I have galnced at many reflexology books in thepast and have a number in my library, but this is exceptional. I carry it around with me where ever I go and if I see someone who had health issues I asked them whats wrong then delve in this book and suggest ways to help them. then give them the name of the book and tell them to buy it and to tell all their friends. I am a writer and seriously considering writing teaching programs for young children in school based on this book. By doing so we will have a healthier population in the future.

SUCH an amazing book! Full of information and illustrations to demonstrate how to perform most of the massage techniques. I have tested a few of these out on myself and even on friends with great success! This is my go-to handbook for all things reflexology, and I have quite a few books on the topic!

First I saw her arts at Glenstone. I love her works. Every her book is expensive even if they are secondhand. This is the simplest version about knowing her. Thank you. She is a complicated artist psychologically, but her keen eye finds what we miss in usual life and sometimes her expressions are so comical.

I loved all the pictures the book had of Louise Bourgeois art work. Easily understandable for younger kids but entertaining for adults as well. Buy it, you will love it.

As you read RUNAWAY GIRL, a beautifully-crafted book that illuminates Louise Bourgeois's story, it is impossible not to keep your eyes on the art. The book is absolutely saturated with vivid photographs of the ninety-two year-old artist's work, as well as a progression of photos of Louise throughout a life that spanned nearly the entire twentieth century and has continued on into the new millennium. Louise's story--from a childhood in France to an apartment in Manhattan--encompasses family, creativity, and personal evolution, as well as her historic role in breaking down sexual barriers in the art world.But what makes RUNAWAY GIRL such an important piece of nonfiction for young adults is that unique peek at the psychological roots of an artist's creativity. For instance, the authors describe her creation of one of my favorite pieces of her art:"She would go back to [the marble quarries in] Pietranta many times in the sixties and again in the eighties. Jerry Gorovoy, who accompanied her on one such trip, says there wasn't much time for sightseeing. They arrived at their hotel in the evening and instead of going to a restaurant or walking around town, she insisted on getting right to work. Jerry says that Louise had a hard time relaxing. 'If you take her to the beach, she can sit still for about five minutes. Then she gets restless.' Unfortunately, Louise hadn't packed any art supplies--no clay, wax or Plasticine. So she asked Jerry for the shirt off his back. She folded and shaped it, stitching the cotton into position until she was satisfied with the form. The next day at the quarry she changed the design somewhat, then applied gesso, a liquid plaster, to harden the fabric. A larger, marble version was measured and roughed out by the craftsmen at the quarry according to her specifications. Then it was shipped to the studio [in Brooklyn], where, upon her return, she carefully reworked it with a chisel. Eventually Jerry's shirt evolved into Femme Maison, 1983, a fresh interpretation of her familiar subject."RUNAWAY GIRL concludes with a variety of useful resources, including "How to Look at a Sculpture," and "Where to View Artwork by Louise Bourgeois," as well as an expansive glossary, a bibliography, and a chronological listing of her work." The book is fantastic, it covers all what you know and what you don't know of the Pittsburgh Penguins. A great collectors book for all fans!!!

I was expecting a whole lot more along the lines of the Total Hockey tomes. Sure, Total Penguins is a heavy book and I enjoyed the season reviews but I expected more on the players and Penguins history.Basically, the majority of the book is a gigantic list of players and their stats. Fine, but a real snoozefest. You can access all this online anyway.

This book contains all the stats, trades, details about playoff series and coaches,up until 2010. The one flaw is that there is no detailed index and some of thethings you might want to readily access are difficult to find. This is the most completereference out there for the Penguins, a must have for any fan.

The title of this book could not be more appropriate. "Total Penguins" is the most comprehensive book on the Pittsburgh Penguins that I have ever seen. It is well written, entertaining, and bursting with facts and statistics. A must-have for any Penguins fanatic!

Lot’s more heat than you would think in a book about the 2 beings who can bring about winter , but hot it is !! 5✨ ‘s

What a fun, funny story with unexpected twists! Julia’s stories are full of humor and witty comebacks, and this current story follows those lines. Though Caellie was a bit hard to like (though I think that was intentional), seeing Jude break last her barriers was awesome.

I love how all of these books are not just about one thing all the time. They have equal amounts of all the emotions throughout the books, this one is no different. I love how Julia puts different Gods and Goddesses into each book as well. Love her books.

I am extremely picky with my stationary, I've been in a bit of a panic this past week as every planner I've researched or browsed was not what I was looking for. I just received this item today and my goodness it is the nicest and most beautiful planner I have ever had! Functionally it's perfect, so cheery and whimsical. SUCH a great buy! The size is perfect, the weight it light, the material is sturdy and I love that it has the elastic closure! Of course the artwork is stunning, every page is thought out and useful as well as adorable!

I typically purchase larger calendars but I decided on this one because of the artwork. I am so glad that I did! I love this calendar! A college girl was at the house for a visit and also fell in love with it....she went online right then and there and bought one for herself. It was easy for me to get accustomed to the smaller size, as compared to the 8 1/2 X 11 that I normally buy. The cover is sturdy. The spiral is strong. The artwork is precious. The paper is a nice weight. I love everything about it.

This is the perfect planner! Fits perfect into a typical purse. The artwork could not be cuter! Every month is a different, elegant theme. Lots of room for notes each month. I will be ordering this planner every year!

This is everything I was looking for and more! Throughout the planner there are nice little positive thinking quotes & pages where they ask you questions such as "What are your goals for the year" and they leave space for you to write down your responses. They have monthly glances as well as roomy day by day entries which is exactly what I wanted. Plus, the design of this planner in general is beautiful and uplifting!

This planner is amazing. It's exactly what I wanted. Beautiful illustrations with a lot of room for notes. At the start of each month there is an overall calendar that shows the entire month. The following pages are broken down into bigger daily areas where you can make notes. There is a band that goes around the calendar to keep the pages together. It's very strong and secure. The wire binding is sturdy and smooth - no hanging up when the calendar is flipped. There is a pocket at the front of the calendar to place receipts or other papers. Each month has a different theme. I will be buying one every year.

I'm joining the other Five Star reviews. I'm thrilled with this calendar. Its a great size, its gorgeous, colorful, fun. Love the inspiring (but not sappy) quotes. I couldn't have designed a better one if I tried. I've spent way too much money on these types of calendars - some with so much going on in the planning department to control every life's minute that I just close 'em, back up and walk away. Others with type and spaces so small I need a magnifying glass. This one is compact and still has plenty of room to write what I want to keep track of. Thank you to this artist/designer and her publisher!

I have used the Me and My Big Ideas Happy Planner for the past 2 years. When this year's MAMBI planners came out, I felt like the designs were ho hum. I love Katie Daisy, have used her calendar for several years, bought the wildflowers book, have some of her prints from etsy from years ago, but this planner is almost not functional for me. I'm trying it out for now, but it may get passed on to my 8 year old. While it has space, it just isn't enough for my needs. I am a list maker, dinner planner, mom with way too much going on to fit in the small spaces provided. I know some people would do great with this, just too small for me.

I hesitated about getting this edition because some of the reviewers here mention difficult navigation but am now extremely glad I bought it. Yes, as others have noted, it has a very long, detailed, active Table of Contents which takes a lot of time to page all the way through. It is fine if you are looking for something near the beginning, like Morning Prayer, but cumbersome for anything toward the middle or end. However, there are other easy ways to navigate through the book.First, if you use Kindle's search feature and search for the word "quick" (without the quotes), you will see numerous Quick Navigation indexes and can choose any you want: Page Numbers, Collects, Psalms, Canticles, Prefaces, Litanies, Sentences of Scripture, Confessions of Sins, Other Prayers, or Common Services. Each is an active index. If you go to the Psalms index, for example, you can select the number of any psalm and immediately arrive at it. I have bookmarked several of these indexes and can now get to them in a snap.Another navigation option is searching for page numbers. The numbers in this Kindle edition are coordinated with those in the current standard edition. Thus, if you have access to a paper edition of the BCP but would rather read on the Kindle where you can adjust the font to a comfortable size, you can note the page number of any often-visited page in your paper edition and then search for it with Kindle's search feature. For example, Prayers and Thanksgivings starts on page 810. If you search for "p. 810"(without the quotes and with a space after the period), you arrive there in a jiffy. (I have found it is quicker to enter numbers by simultaneously pressing ALT and the appropriate letter on the top row of the Kindle keyboard than by opening the "Sym" page.) You can also choose the Quick Navigation index for Page Numbers on the Kindle and select any number to go to that page, though this particular index is a bit long because the BCP has more than 900 pages. An additional interesting feature is that page numbers, formatted in light gray, are sprinkled throughout the text, so you can see what page you are on. I have bookmarked the pages I often visit. Navigation to them is now simple.All in all, this edition of The Book of Common Prayer quickly becomes easy and comfortable to navigate. While using the Kindle during a church service might be distracting, this edition is very nice indeed for prayer at home or while traveling. I am definitely glad I have it!

I have two Kindle versions of the BCP, both the one by Episcopal Church and Christian Miracle Foundation Press (EC for short) as well as the one by Church Publishing (CP). I feel like they each have pros and cons, and I'm happy to have both. I'm placing this same review in both locations.I prefer the formatting in the CP; it's a bit cleaner. However, the EC includes the page numbers which, while it can be disruptive while reading, certainly helps me to find a particular page quickly.The Table of Contents in the CP is short and easy to navigate while the one in the EC is very long and takes forever to get through. So the CP TOC will get you to a general area of the book, while the EC TOC will get you to exactly the spot that you want. I don't use the TOC often because I just bookmark all the main spots that I want to get to quickly.One thing that I love about the EC is that in the Daily Office Lectionary, the Psalms readings are hyperlinked to the Psalter, making it very easy to move back and forth between the two sections of the book.Both books occasionally crash the Kindle app, but it does seem like the CP version does it more often.If I had to choose only one (which, realistically, I should have), it would be the EC version. I find that its pros outweigh its cons, and it's less than a third of the price of the CP version.

who can NOT like the Book of Common Prayer. Non-believers can like this book. The only reason I would not give it 5 stars is that it is a Kindle edition and it is hard for me to navigate. It is highly possible, being a 65 year old luddite, that I just don't know what I'm doing. You know what Episcopalians say: I believe the Bible is God's Word because it is quoted in the Book of Common Prayer. Seriously, when I have problems, some of the prayers held "in common" come into my memory. When I am down I remembers that God, ". . . is the same Lord whose property is always to have mercy." That is a cool thing to remember when you are feeling cursed. I like it that the prayers have been carefully crafted, gone over for several hundred years, and repeated by millions. These are prayers we all hold in common, and they are not hillbilly prayers full of "Well God we just happy to be here with ya" prayers. The prayers are short, focused and beautifully crafted. The services are there if you want to study them, to know them. This is a book of prayers for all people to share, they are prayers held in common.

I've always loved The Book of Common Prayer and really enjoy having it on my Kindle. But, this version is a little difficult to navigate and if I ever have to back arrow more than once, I get taken to my Carousel, rather than to the Table of Contents, or wherever I started from.
