Great for billiards players of all skill levels. From beginners to seaoned vets alike. The book offers everything from how to play each game to proper technique to tips. With official rules and how to for many different games even a glossary. So no more arguing at the billiard table about the rules and such with your friends. You'll have to find something else to argue about. Haha.
Every bar, tavern, club and hall with a pool table (in the US) should have a copy of this on-hand. The horrendous inconsistence and outright ridiculousness of most local and house "rules", not to mention individual "rules", has made a sorry mess of recreational American pocket billiards. I can only hope that the REAL games of 8-ball, 9-ball, etc., become better known to amateur players over time, and that the bogus, corrupt, yokel variants of these games finally die off some day. Don't confuse this complete book, with rules for many games, with the BCA Pool League rule booklet, which only covers the league team versions of eight-ball and nine-ball.[UPDATE: This edition is now obsolete. As of Nov. 2013, the most current is the 2011 edition, but it does not seem to be available on Amazon. ]
The book is the 2005 edition. Not current and not told in advance. I prefer a more updated version.

is something you hear a lot in a pool hall while playing with people who don;t know the rules. This book removes that awkward moment where you have to tell the other player to put up or shut up.
Precisely what you'd expect given the title: concise, clear delineation of all the rules of billiards. very well done! (unlike this review! lol)
