This book has lovely illustrations in the "original" Pooh style. If you (or your child) are looking for a more modern book, this one probably isn't for you.Our 18 month-old son adores the book and loves looking for all of the characters under the flaps! It truly is a very large book and has more flaps than you know what to do with! The paper is fairly sturdy, but he has still managed to rip out a few of the flap tabs. Likely an older toddler would be more careful. The book has no real plot or story, but is a fun romp through the Hundred Acre Wood.
This book is exactly as described - GIANT :) But, it's wonderful and has lots of fun flaps that move in a variety of direction. The only con (in my opinion) is some of the content. For example, the last page shows presents for every letter in the alphabet and underneath a picture of something that starts with that letter. For a learning tool, you might expect them to be things that small children recognize, however some of these are: W for Wellingtons, P for Pencil Case, M for Marmalade, F for Fir-cones & my favorite....C for condensed milk. lol At least they got A for apple :) But overall, it's been fun for my daughter (21 months old) to open it play with. It's not her favorite, but it is cute..especially for a classic pooh lover.
An adorable book with many many flaps to lift...the illustrations are beautiful and the size of the book is quite generously large (check the dimensions!) We're used to smaller lift-the-flap books that only have a few flaps but this book is sure to keep your little one happily occupied.My main complaint is with Amazon & not the book itself (which is why I'm not letting this aspect affect the rating) - this book arrived damaged and used (this is my 3rd or 4th lift-the-flap book that arrived in used condition)...some of the flaps were already "popped" open and there was dirt & damage on the back flap.
It is not a hard back book. It is however adorable and well worth the price! It has learning activities and great pictures.
My child is obsessed with books (18 months) and loves flipping the flaps over. Best part is that it;s Winnie the Pooh!.Taking one star off, some of the flaps are long and skinny (up/down and high/low), Otherwise a great book that keeps us engaged for more than 1 minute at a time.
This is old fashioned Pooh at his best! This book is not based on the new Disney series with Darby, but it's the old fashioned Pooh bear! Adorable! Our daughter loves the clock page, each number has a flap with Pooh's routine underneath the time, and also the alphabet page, each letter has a flap with a picture underneath. Each page is geared towards numbers, shapes, letters, and colors. A lovely book!
This books was a real disappointment because of how the flaps are laid out. The illustrations are so sweet and there are a ton of flaps, but the little access points that make it easy to open the flaps are (generally) not placed opposite the flap's hinge. This results in a ton of torn flaps. I even busted a few as I was cracking them open for the first time before handing it to my two year old. She LOVES her books and is very careful about them and was in tears when she accidentally tore a tiny flap completely off.
This is an adorable book and has tons of flaps to lift. My toddler loves the clock where each flap shows what Pooh Bear does at that time of day. The page with presents from A to Z is also cute. I have it four stars instead of five because some of the flaps are hard for my toddler to open.
Great book. 1 issue I have is with the Alphabet section. When your little one lifts the flaps to see what letter is attached to what word, the words underneath are complex. Example: C is for......... Condensed Milk! I is for Ink Well!
